A quiet place is a good thriller/horror/post apocalyptic movie directed by none other than Jim Halpert. Who’s really come into his own marrying Emily Blunt and getting an WGA nomination for his screenplay. It tells the story of a family living in a world that has been invaded by blind indestructible aliens with super hearing, therefore making survival and depend exclusively on not making any sound. A quiet place is the solution hence the title. After his youngest son gets eating for having a battery powered toy make some noise, the family faces danger once again when Jim's pregnant wife goes into labor. Will she deliver the baby quietly?

GOOD: "A Quiet Place" uses suspense and tension really well, especially in the scenes where our characters are being hunted by the monsters and they can't make a sound. The premise is well set, the story confined to a single location, and it is consistent with the rules the movie sets since the beginning. I also loved the fact that they used a deaf-mute actress to play the daughter. All the child actors in general were excellent. The film has been a beast in box office with over 350 million in receipts world wide. Jack Ryan recently got a nice season 3 pickup too. Life’s good when you’re Jim Halpert. Kid from Philly 6 feet tall can do everything USA PRIME.
BAD: The near misses become too unrealistic for me at the end, and there is an ambiguity to the monster's powers. ( The indestructible monsters get killed by a shotgun blast.) People should have died more often than they did. The indestructible monsters get killed by a shotgun blast.
Grade: Just for becoming more than just an actor, but an actor that writes, Krasinski gets a Widescreen
